Bible reading

We all know that the Bible is God's chosen words....but did you know there is ONE verse that satan might actually 'hate' ...and especially when we read it....and read it a loud.....> > > Rev. 20: 10...tell me what you think.

Do you think God cried?

yesterday in church during one of the songs I got so emotional tears welled up..!  If I could recall the song then you might share my emotion as well...(but that's another story!)......oh wait, if all else fails ck bk on the bulletin...'Give Thanks'....which brought me to the thot...Do you think God cried the day His only son died and for what?  ....... US!  I know he turned his back and could not look upon all the sin of the world, but did he shed tears and heartache for his son?

The ownership question

How much stuff do you 'own'?  I absolutely treasure MY stuff !!  I have several crafts that I derive so much pleasure from:  quilting, counted cross-stitch, beading, cooking, baking, decorating my home for Christmas, with MY stuff...!!  MY stuff....but then during my quiet time this morning reading in Psalms, 24 to be exact...it was brought to my attention that this "stuff" wasn't mine.  What?  I re-read the first verse and once again was humbled to the fact NOTHING is MINE........!!

So, lets settle the ownership question once and for all...(although I seemed to need reminding more often), ....right there in black n white it states.....'the earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.'.....no exceptions made.
God owns it all.    Simply stated:  I possess: God owns
I earn (a living):  God enables

That pretty much settles it!!

Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is an official holiday.  Thanksgiving day...to some this means gathering w/family and friends or maybe a quiet meal shared between a couple.
This day may have different meanings to each of us.  For me...it means LIFE!  physically, I have enjoyed/lived/experienced another year!  No matter the trials that I have gone through, I am thankful that I have an earthly life lived w/family and friends....!!  More importantly, I am MOST thankful for the HEAVENLY life that I will share w/my Father!
I am thankful

OHHHH I had another thot while I was mopping the kitchen floor today!  As the mop went over the floor it was leaving little mop strings...annoying in a way as I was going to have to deal w/them....would either have to bend over to pick them up or sweep them up when the floor dried...either way I was going to have to do something with them..!!
And then I paused....got to thinking about leaving a legacy...just like those mop strings...then I thought about the BIGGER picture....Jesus left His legacy behind for us, for His children.  IF you are a child of God you know something of this legacy. What we give or leave behind to our children and grands is an earthly legacy.  What God gives and leaves behind is a heavenly legacy.  My prayer for all who reads this is that you are a part of His legacy.

What are you doing while you're praying?

You are:

sitting.................in the presence of God
resting................in Him
waiting................in the Lord
worshipping........God
meditating..........on His character

You're never in prayer alone.....He's always there!!  Rest in His comfort...its a brand new day in the Lord!

A New Day!

I feel energized today, even though I head to wk for the night shft in about 6 hrs.  I have to rely on Gods provision to help me make it through the night.  I (& hubby) have re-located to Pflugerville, outside of Austin.  We are bk in the ICU setting, @ a magnet status hospital.  Its been an adustment for me...leaving the area I had lived in for about 25 yrs, give or take.  In a country setting of trees, pasture, barbed wire fences, cows, horses, black top or rock-filled roads, to one of concrete streets, sidewalks, neighborhoods, traffic.....!!!  But ALL of the conveniences that city living has to offer!  I can go to HEB (grocery store), PetSmart, Walmart, Home Depot, and back home in an hr or so whereas bk 'home' it was considered a "day trip!!"  As my husband so plainly stated......"can't throw a dead cat without hitting a walmart, or home depot."  They are everywhere.  I was amazed at how MANY of them there are.  Yes, Austin area, or rather Pflugerville is a nice place to be for awhile.....God has planted me here, to grow, bloom, live....don't know for how long...God didn't say and I didn't ask.  :`~)  I just stepped out, trusting He would put me where I needed to be.  Have found a church, will be getting involved in the women's ministry, and just might give the Bell choir a go!!  More on that later.   I'm still adjusting, might take a while, and then again, may never fully adjust but know this....GOD has me in His hand, He won't let go, I know I'm safe!
